The utilization of safety wire
is the most positive and
accepted method of securing
hardware which cannot be
secured by any other method.
Safety wire is used to secure
two or more hardware pieces
in such a way that any
tendency of one of the pieces to loosen will have a reciprocal
effect (of tightening) on the other piece of hardware.
