FAA Form 8130/Certificate of Conformance

A.E.R.O. provides you with its own Certificate of Conformance at the bottom of each packing slip. Factory certification 8130 forms are available for some items. A cost of $50-$100 per product is charged to secure these forms if they are available. You must inquire at the time of your order for factory certification or 8130 forms.

Due to the delays and costs involved in furnishing these forms, we strongly encourage you to check to see if the A.E.R.O. Certificate of Conformance will be acceptable.

Open Accounts – Established companies, schools, and government organizations may apply for an open account by submitting our credit application form. Please contact one of our representatives and we will be happy to send you a credit application.

Core Return Policy:

Every manufacturer has different policies; please note the procedures required to receive your credit. Unless prior authorization is obtained from an A.E.R.O. Customer Service Representative, all cores must be ‘like part numbers’ and must be in repairable condition. A.E.R.O. will no longer accept unrepairable cores on Bendix and Slick Magnetos or CMI Starter Adapters. The customer will be responsible for all fees assessed by the manufacturer for substandard or unlike cores.

The only way to ensure a quick and correct core credit is to include a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number with the return core. Exchange items sold by A.E.R.O. will be shipped with an RMA number. All core returns must be accompanied with the RMA number, customer name, and the A.E.R.O. invoice number on which the exchange item was purchased. All cores must be returned to A.E.R.O. within 60 days from the original purchase date. If an RMA number was not included with the exchange item, you must call an A.E.R.O. Customer Service Representative to obtain an RMA number prior to returning the core.

Any unit being returned for core credit shall be, as removed from the engine and/or aircraft, complete and not disassembled. No core or warranty credit will be allowed for automotive and industrial units. Units that are rusty, corroded, or cannot be overhauled for any reason, will be classified as scrap, having no value. Units, which have been weld-repaired, as well as units which have been disassembled and then reassembled with old parts, will also be classified as scrap, having no value. A percentage of the core value will be deducted for all missing or damaged parts. At no time will the damaged or missing parts charge on any unit exceed the core value of that unit. Freight and Shipping Charges

A.E.R.O. makes every effort to ship parts the same day when the order is received by 4:00pm CST. Parts are shipped C.O.D. if not prepaid or charged to a credit card and are subject to applicable UPS C.O.D. charges plus regular shipping charges. All C.O.D.’s are certified funds unless prior approval has been endorsed. Shipping charges are dependent upon the method of shipping and based on the size and weight of your order after packing, therefor shipping charges are not automatically calculated by the online order form. Please note that you may incur additional handling charges based on the products you ordered or the method of shipping.

The handling charges can also vary among the different freight carriers and their process. A.E.R.O. ships parts via UPS and FedEx along with various freight companies. Please advise A.E.R.O. of the carrier best suited for your destination.

International Orders:

All first time orders for an international customer or any order shipping to an address other than the cardholder’s address must be prepaid via wire transfer. Subsequent orders may be paid with a credit card but all credit card orders must be accompanied by a signed credit card authorization form, a photo ID, and must be shipped to the cardholder’s address.

Returning Parts:

Returned parts must have been originally purchased from A.E.R.O. and returned to us in new uninstalled condition, in their original packaging, within 30 (thirty) days from the invoice date. Most manufacturers’ packaging is not designed for shipping so please refrain from using the manufacturer’s package as the shipping box. The manufacturer’s box must be in sellable condition so please package the manufacturer’s box in a proper shipping box to protect the integrity of the original package and parts.

All returned goods require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number be issued in advance of the return. RMA numbers can be obtained by contacting an A.E.R.O. Customer Service Representative. Items returned without an RMA number will not be processed and will be returned to you at your expense. Please include the RMA number with your return copy of the invoice or packing list.

All returned goods are subject to a restocking and handling charge of up to 25% and a minimum of 15%. If the parts or products were special order the return is subject to the manufacturer’s willingness to accept the product back. The return is also subject to any manufacturer’s handling charge plus a restocking fee. No restocking fee will be charged on returns resulting from our error. All return freight must be prepaid. If returned goods are lost or damaged in transit to A.E.R.O. you must submit the claim against your carrier.


Any warranty covering products sold by A.E.R.O. is that of the manufacturer of the product. There are no implied warranties of the products sold by A.E.R.O. in no event shall A.E.R.O. be liable for consequential, incidental, or special damages. Manufacturer’s items purchased through A.E.R.O. may be processed through A.E.R.O. All warranty claims require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number be issued in advance. RMA numbers can be obtained by contacting an A.E.R.O. Customer Service Representative. Warranty claims without an RMA number will not be processed and will be returned to you at your expense. Please include the RMA number with your return copy of the invoice or packing list.
